This “Tapper” is made of brass and aluminum so that a spark does not occur while tapping fuel tanks when searching a vehicle for illegal substances. Tapping the tank will often determine whether the tank contains things other than fuel. Inside the hollow handle is a sharp steel probe. A small slot near the pointy end takes a sample of what ever is stuck with the probe possibly revealing an illegal stash.
